Prudential CARES

The Prudential CARES Volunteer Grants program, which is now in its

17th year, is a testament to Prudential's continued commitment to the

community.

"We are proud to recognize our employees for their collaboration

with local organizations all over the world that make a positive

difference in people's lives," said Prudential Chairman and Chief

Executive Officer John Strangfeld.

"Their volunteer activities echo Prudential's long-standing

tradition of philanthropic involvement and community partnerships. We

hope these collaborations will allow us to live and work in better,

healthier communities," added Strangfeld.

Gabriella Morris, vice president and head of Prudential's

Community Resources Department and president of The Prudential

Foundation, said, "Each year we're inspired by the passion and

dedication of our employees and retirees who volunteer so much of

their time to the organizations and issues they care about most

deeply. Their work has shown true creativity, honesty, and respect for

diversity - all core values at Prudential."

According to Charles H. Moore, executive director of the Committee

Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, "Corporate philanthropy does not

exist in a bubble - real change requires alliances and cooperation

between management, employees and communities. Prudential's

long-standing CARES program is evidence of this philosophy and we look

forward to more innovations and social change from them in the

future."
